Hi everybody — Michelle here! ☺️
My earliest memory of politics is phone-banking for my local Democratic party in Texas when I was in the ninth grade. It wasn’t an election year — we were calling folks in the community just to check in and connect.
That’s where I learned how important it is to build a compassionate community rooted in care and trust, where all are welcome. That’s how you get a big group of folks to work together and achieve more than they can do on their own.
I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. I’m UWDA’s Political Director. I’m passionate about civic engagement and helping folks realize the power they have to effect change in their communities.
That’s exactly what we aim to do at UWDA! As a young, queer, woman of color and the daughter of immigrants, I’m so proud of our unique ability to build community and power for a huge group of people all with their own identities.
I feel at home in this organization, and I know you will too.
Getting involved with United We Dream Action is an easy and fun way to create change that deeply affects folks’ lives, while joining a community of people that will support you and be with you every step of the way.
Everything we do on the political team — from mobilizing voters, to circulating petitions, and more — is powered by
supporters like you chipping in a little at a time.
Whether it’s $10 or $25, every dollar donated to United We Dream Action helps us build this community that fights hard for the future our movement needs. That’s why I’m asking:
Can you chip in any amount today to support UWDA’s mission of immigrant justice for all?
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
Thanks for being in this community with me!
🧡Michelle
