Nearly 40% of parents surveyed want to leave Florida because of the Don’t Say Gay law

A new study from the Williams Institute and Clark University finds 40% of Florida parents surveyed said they would like to move out of the state—20% very much so and 19% somewhat—because of the Don’t Say Gay law.
Almost 11% said they were very likely to move in the next two years, and another 6% said that it was somewhat likely. The most common barriers to relocating outside of Florida included employment factors, caregiving responsibilities, and financial limitations.

Most adult donor-inseminated offspring of lesbian parents satisfied with level of contact with sperm donors
|
|
The latest report from the National Longitudinal Lesbian Family Study examines the relationships between 75 adult donor-inseminated offspring of lesbian parents and their sperm donors. More than half of the offspring (40) knew their donors.
Offspring who had contacted their donor since age 18 got along well with him, did not view him as a relative, and had told most family members about their contact. However, whether the donor was unknown or known, most offspring were satisfied with their contact level.
