Dear Friend,

I am writing to inform you that the Department of Veterans Affairs has extended the deadline to file for backdated PACT Act benefits to Monday, August 14th, 2023.

As you may know, Congress passed the PACT Act last year to expand access to health care benefits for the millions of veterans who were exposed to burn pits, Agent Orange and other toxic substances during their service.

I was proud to pass this bill into law and uphold our promise to care for our veterans.

While there is no deadline to apply for PACT Act benefits, if you file or submit your intent to file by Monday, August 14th, 2023 at 11:59pm, you may be eligible to receive benefits backdated to August 10th, 2022.

You can file you PACT Act claim by visiting va.gov/pact.

My office is here to help. So far this year, I have helped more than 100 South Jersey veterans navigate the VA system and receive the benefits they need and deserve.

Please don’t hesitate to call my office at 856-427-7000 for assistance with your PACT Act claim or any other veterans’ affairs issue.

Sincerely,
