Dear Partners,

Today, Families USA released the country's first analysis ([link removed]) of how U.S.-citizen children with immigrant parents are faring under the Trump administration's harsh new public charge immigration rules, which will go into effect on Monday, February 24, 2020.

These children are in danger of losing health coverage, as many of their parents may believe that withdrawing them from Medicaid is needed to safeguard the family’s ability to remain together in the United States.

Litigation to stop this rule and several related anti-immigrant policies continues. Check out Families USA's Trump administration public charge rule toolkit ([link removed]) to take action! The toolkit includes key messages and resources to help you highlight the harms of these harsh and restrictive policies, and educate the public on who is and isn't affected by public charge.

Please feel free to distribute these resources among your networks.

To your health,

Raven Gomez,
Partnerships Coordinator
