Across the country this summer, people and wildlife have been hit by deadly heatwaves, wildfire smoke and flooding — all made worse by fossil fuel pollution. To save life on Earth and stop the climate crisis, we need to act together.

Next month the United Nations is hosting a first-of-its-kind Climate Ambition Summit to urge global leaders to phase out fossil fuels. Before the summit, on Sunday, Sept. 17, thousands of us will march in the streets. We’ll use this critical moment to demand that President Biden end approvals of fossil fuel projects, phase out oil and gas production on federal lands, and declare a climate emergency.

*We recognize this mobilization is planned for the second day of Rosh Hashanah. Several factors led us to choose this date, and we did not make this decision lightly.
