Since Trump's indictment, Fox News has gone on offense for his alleged
criminal scheme to overturn the 2020 election. Following Trump’s lead,
everyone from Sean Hannity to Tucker Carlson’s replacement Jesse Watters
has attacked the Justice Department and echoed Trump’s claims that the
indictment is a political witchhunt from the Biden administration.

It’s like 2020 all over again,
John.

We’ll explain a bit more about what we mean in just a moment, but here’s
the gist:

[ [link removed] ]Fox News is undermining our democracy and spreading misinformation to
drive higher ratings. Our local newsrooms are fighting back by correcting
the record and reaching the online audiences that are most vulnerable to
Fox’s misinformation. Please help us keep up this vital work by
contributing $5 today:

Remember what happened after the 2020 election,
John?

Trump lost, and even though Fox News personalities like Carlson and
Hannity knew that election fraud claims were bogus, they pushed the lies
anyway to drive ratings.

The result was that even today, vast majorities of Republicans believe the
2020 election was stolen. And, a new poll shows that over 90% of Fox
viewers think Trump is the victim right now and that the grave charges
against him aren’t serious.^1

With Trump running away with the Republican Presidential nomination, Fox
News is following the same destructive playbook. They’ll push Trump’s lies
and help him undermine the investigation, and ratings will stay high.

The good news is that this time around, our local news teams are ready to
fight back.

Our dedicated reporters counter bad information from Fox News in real time
with fact-based journalism published in the online spaces where
misinformation spreads. We can win the fight to protect our democracy from
Fox News and right-wing bad actors, but we can’t do it alone.
