Earlier this week, David Schweikert sent an email to his constituents bragging about his work for veterans and encouraging them to sign up for benefits from the PACT Act. The only problem? Schweikert voted against the PACT Act.
As one national publication put it, “Last year, Rep. David Schweikert voted not once, but twice against a bill to provide health benefits to veterans who were exposed to toxic substances during their service. Now, the Arizona Republican is urging his constituents to sign up for the benefits created by that same legislation.”
We’re used to seeing Republican politicians showing up at ribbon cuttings after voting against the Infrastructure Bill. But this isn’t a road or bridge; it’s veterans’ lives.
We deserve better – we deserve someone who won’t be a hypocrite, which is why I’m asking for your support today.

Enlisting after 9/11, I served alongside incredible men and women who put their lives on the line, including many who would likely be eligible for PACT Act benefits. They asked for nothing in return, but deserve a country that does right by them
The PACT Act was passed with bipartisan support – even Ted Cruz and Matt Gaetz voted for it. But Schweikert voted no. Seeing him vote no was one of the moments that made me decide to run for Congress against him.
Look, being a hypocrite is bad enough, but it’s all the worse when it comes to how we treat our veterans.
We can beat Schweikert, but I need your help to do it. I’m not taking a dime from corporate PACs, so I’m relying on this team. Will you chip in $3, $30, or whatever you can afford to fuel our campaign and flip this seat blue?
