BJS seeks Supervisory Statisticians (Social Science) to maintain, enhance, and expand its statistical data collections and programs that span the criminal justice system. Job duties include?


* supervising a group of employees performing work at the GS-9 to GS-14 levels
* performing statistical data collection activities, such as preparing, processing, analyzing, and coordinating ad hoc and standing collection requirements
* consulting and collaborating with government officials, professional associations, and others to advise on the application of statistics to criminal justice issues, policies, and programs
* providing administrative and technical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the unit and the human resource management functions relative to the staff supervised.
