Distributor Returns due August 18

Your July return and payment for Cigarette Tax or Tobacco Tax are due August 18. 

If you are required to file the June accelerated payment, your June return is due August 18. For more information, go to Accelerated Payment on our website.

Remember that you can file your return and pay any tax due electronically through e-Services.

Liggett and State of Minnesota Reach Settlement Agreement

The state of Minnesota and Liggett have reached a settlement agreement in principle. As a result, Minnesota cigarette distributors do not need to begin paying the 50-cent per pack fee in lieu of settlement on Liggett brands beginning August 1, 2023.
