For far too many people in this in this country health care is unaffordable, and yet prices just keep rising.

High and rising hospital prices are a leading driver of this crisis. Decades of unchecked health care industry consolidation and anti-competitive business practices mean that people are paying way too much for care that is not getting any better.

Families USA and other leading organizations are coming together as the Consumers for Fair Hospital Pricing Coalition to put forward a strong consumer driven agenda that ensures everyone can get the high-quality care they deserve at a price they can afford.

We are looking for organizations to endorse the coalition’s core principles. These are laid out in the coalition’s announcement letter, which will be released publicly in the coming weeks but is available for you to read now. We hope you will  join us in this movement.

As consumer advocates, we look forward to taking on the next big fight in the health care affordability movement: reining in the unfair and harmful business practices of hospitals and large hospital systems and demanding truly fair prices for the care that people need.
