This Week: At A Glance

Monday, Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks (IA-01) called out the Biden administration over reports that Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm consulted Chinese Communist Party-linked officials ahead of last year's sale of oil from the U.S. strategic reserves to China. In January, Miller-Meeks and a strong bipartisan majority of her House colleagues passed legislation banning any future sales to China.

Tuesday, Rep. Nancy Mace (SC-01) renewed her calls for more transparency from federal agencies who investigate Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) interactions. She and her House Oversight Committee colleagues argue that taxpayers have lost confidence in these agencies, which lack proper reporting mechanisms, and that there are broader national security implications to the status quo. 

Wednesday, Rep. Young Kim (CA-40) shared that her team's hard work has resulted in $22 million being returned to taxpayers in her district.

Thursday, Rep. Lori Chavez-DeRemer (OR-05) introduced a bill to stop tolling projects from moving forward until drivers and their communities have a full understanding of its economic and environmental impacts.
