Friends -
This weekend, America went to sleep grieving for El Paso and it woke up to grieve for Dayton.
This doesn’t have to be our reality.
The fact that our nation’s leaders continue to fail to protect us should fuel outrage in every American.
Mitch McConnell must call the Senate back from recess and hold a vote on gun safety laws now.
And if he doesn’t, we must use our votes to elect new leaders that will. That’s where you come in:
As long as the NRA continues to buy our elected leaders, we’ll continue to be offered nothing more than “thoughts and prayers” in the aftermath of these tragedies.
But thoughts and prayers are not enough. We need action now. It’s time for politicians around the country to get serious about gun safety laws.
That’s why we must use our collective voices to call on Mitch McConnell to hold a vote on the bipartisan bills the House has already passed to help prevent gun violence.
Any support you can give today puts us one step closer to making that a reality.
We couldn’t do this work without your support, so thank you.
