Taxpayer, we work for you – the Taxpayer. Your opinion matters! Help us set our priorities.

Taxpayer,

As a small team with limited resources, it is critical that we define priorities. That’s why, every quarter, White Coat Waste Project (WCW) sets the priorities for the work we will do throughout the remainder of the year. These priorities help us to allocate our budget on the issues that make the greatest impact for government lab animals and taxpayers.

Please take our Q3 Taxpayer Priorities Survey and give us your ideas about what work we should be doing by clicking on the “BEGIN SURVEY” button below which will take you to an external survey. The survey should take three minutes to finish. We will collect responses until 10 a.m. Sunday, August 13th.

Taxpayer, since you’re signed up for our email list, you probably know by now that the United States government is the world’s largest funder of animal experimentation (over $20 billion per year). The National Institute of Health admits that 95%+ of animal-tested drugs fail in humans — that’s a lot of wasted time, lives, and money.

From beagles eaten alive by sand flies and ticks, to deadly and violating incontinence experiments on kittens, to pandemic-causing gain-of-function bat experiments at the Wuhan Lab, the federal government now spends over twice as much on wasteful animal testing than all private industries combined.

Needless to say: there is a lot of work to be done. But fighting powerful bureaucrats in white coats and the deep-pocketed pro-animal testing lobby is incredibly costly.

Given this reality, we’re often forced to make difficult decisions as to how to allocate our budget. In other words, which labs to shut down and which animals to save.

As a valued supporter and change-maker, we want to hear from you about what you believe WCW’s priorities should be now and into the future.

Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

Because taxpayers shouldn’t be forced to pay $20 billion+ for wasteful government animal experiments,
