On Tuesday, the American Civil Liberties Union
(ACLU) of Indiana filed a lawsuit to challenge a newly passed state law
that prohibits citizens from being within 25 feet of law enforcement
officers while they are on duty in an active crime scene or engagement
in any type of enforcement action.
The ACLU is claiming that this
law is a violation of constitutional rights.
Here’s the reality:
We’ve had six police officers killed in the line of duty this year, and
the ACLU is trying to stop a law to help keep them safe. There is a war
on our police, and we have to give our cops the tools to come home
safely.
