It’s back to school time.

And this past legislative session, Republican-led efforts led to the passage of multiple education policies that will benefit Hoosier students and families.

Here’s what’s new, and what will be implemented over the next two school years:

✅ No more textbook or curriculum fees

✅ A focus on the “science of reading” to improve literacy

✅ An expansion of work-based, apprenticeship, and internship opportunities

✅ More STEM opportunities in classrooms across the state

✅ New “school report cards” to provide additional transparency in school performance

✅ Full funding for dyslexia screeners for K-2 students

These new policies will help our students achieve their full potential, improving the lives of all Hoosiers for decades to come.
