Hi there —
If you care about the environment and human rights, pay attention to the Supreme Court on Monday. The Atlantic Coast Pipeline would generate more pollution each year than 20 coal plants combined. It would also run right through the Appalachian Trail, and would disproportionately impact low income Black and Native communities in Virginia and North Carolina. It’s an environmental and human rights disaster, and the Supreme Court is going to decide whether or not it gets built.
We’re rallying at the Supreme Court on Monday to tell the justices to stop the ACP and all climate-wrecking pipelines. Join us.
This is the first time the Supreme Court has heard a case about a pipeline in years, and it won’t be the last. Other rulings blocking more oil pumping stations and challenging companies’ right to steal private land for their own personal gain are moving through the courts. If we don’t act, John Roberts could side with Big Oil and lock us into decades of dependence on fossil fuels at the expense of our environment and the well-being of historically disenfranchised communities.
We have a chance to show the Supreme Court that we expect them to protect people, not climate-wrecking corporations. Come rally at the Supreme Court to protect our climate.
See you there.
In solidarity,
Demand Justice
Donald Trump is openly taking over our courts, and if we let him succeed, his nominees will keep his hateful vision alive on the federal bench for decades. Join Demand Justice and take a stand to protect our nation's courts.
