This grassroots team knows a thing or two about what it takes to make history.
In 2018, this grassroots team helped send Mikie to Congress, flipping NJ-11 from red-to-blue for the first time in over two decades and handing Democrats the House majority.
And then you helped do it again. Twice!
But winning re-election is no easy feat, team, especially for women. Studies show that, on average, male candidates raise about one-third more than women running for the same seats.
And in over 90% of House of Representatives elections, the candidate who spends more wins.
To put all this in perspective, Kevin McCarthy announced House Republicans’ campaign arm broke their off-year fundraising record following last quarter’s FEC deadline. And you can be sure that they won’t be afraid to spend down to their last dollar to defeat Democratic leaders like Mikie who are fighting every day to defend reproductive rights, expand access to affordable child care, and more.
Fundraising gaps shouldn’t be the reason that Democratic women candidates win or lose, but the data is clear. So while our emails hit your inbox pretty often, we really mean it when we say that every contribution to our grassroots campaign makes a huge difference.
So team, will you add a contribution of any amount today to help us re-elect Mikie and flip the House blue? We can’t pass up this opportunity to make history together once again.
