Folks,

Last week, I sent out a petition demanding that Tommy Tuberville end his un-American assault on our military. I’m proud of the thousands of signatures we’ve received over social media and email. The goal here is to up the public pressure on Tuberville and show him that Americans across the country are sick and tired of his nonsense. And that’s exactly what we’re doing.

We’ve got the momentum on our side too, especially in the wake of this poll that came out today. Just look what is happening in Alabama.
 

Right Side of History


The big takeaway from this poll is that 58 percent of Alabamians reject Tuberville's hold on military promotions and nearly 75 percent of Alabamians think military promotions should be free from politics. In a state like Alabama, that type of consensus is rare and it's an important signal for how effective our campaign here can be.

It makes sense that Alabama voters want Tuberville to end his un-American antics. This is an assault on our nation’s national security. And with the tens-of thousands of military families living in our state, I know this issue is personal to many people.

Folks, I know that many of you receive petitions in your inbox all the time and immediately delete them because they’re asking for money.

That’s not what this is about. When we’ve got great opportunities to support candidates across the country and help hold the Senate majority, I’ll ask you to pitch in to help support that fight.

But this petition is about showing Tuberville that Americans want him to end his little publicity stunt. We’re planning on making our signature count public and making sure that Tuberville knows the exact number of people who are sick of him undermining our national security. If we can get this petition in front of as many people as possible, and collect as many signatures as possible, I truly believe we can reach a number that will make a difference. I really do.
