Earlier in the week, Jamaal was endorsed by the Council of School Supervisors and Administrators (CSA), a 16,000+ member union of educators. This was HUGE news for us, because unions don't usually get involved in primaries. And now, Jamaal has been recognized by City and State as one of the 100 most powerful education leaders in New York.

As an educator and principal for two decades, he witnessed firsthand how the denial of basic resources corrodes children’s curiosity, self-worth, intelligence, and dignity. That's why his New Deal for Education helps the whole student, reforms the system to develop them holistically, and holds the federal government accountable to finally fulfill its promises on public education.
