it’s Ryan Walker, and I wanted to share an important update with you.
Heritage Action has been locked in a legal battle against the FEC and the Campaign Legal Center (CLC), a deep-pocketed liberal organization.
The CLC had a clear goal: Force Heritage Action to disclose the names and addresses of our confidential grassroots supporters.
This was an effort to dox conservatives. It served no other purpose than to target and harass individuals on the Right.
What’s terrifying, is that Democrat members of the Federal Election Commission weaponized their power to target conservatives and help the CLC’s lawsuit.
They wanted to intimidate and silence the grassroots. But we fought back.
Heritage Action doesn’t shy away from a fight, especially when it comes to exposing the corruption and weaponization of the federal government.
We went on offense and used the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) to expose the FEC for their abuse of power and highlight their weaponization of the government against conservatives. The FEC’s Democrat commissioners refused to allow their agency to disclose already dismissed matters, misled federal judges, and allowed Left-wing allies like CLC to wrongly stand in the FEC’s shoes and attack political opponents in court.
Not only did we defeat the Left’s ridiculous lawsuit, but we exposed the political bias in government. Our victories in court are a win for the American people.
We believe in fighting on every front, on every battlefield we can! Whether in the courtroom, Congress, or state legislatures, Heritage Action will continue fighting to bring integrity back to our government institutions and protect Americans’ rights.
