**IMPORTANT UPDATE** Come Out And See What We're About!

Hey Y'all!

Due to a sudden event at the union hall, we're having our monthly general meeting Thursday August 10 from 7-9pm at the Montrose Center (401 Branard St, Floor 2, 77006). This is where the membership comes together to be in community, discuss the activities going on within our own chapter and the national DSA, and conduct chapter business like elections, votes, or resolutions.

This meeting will be momentous so you'll want to be sure to attend! We'll hear reports from our working groups, such as Labor and Abolition, after an extraordinary month of milestones in their campaigns. We'll also hear from delegates to the National DSA Convention that just wrapped up!  Don't miss out! I hope to see y'all there!

**Please note: In a previous email, we had the chapter endorsement discussion/vote for Pervez Agwan scheduled for tonight, but due to restrictions at tonight's venue we will be unable to proceed. We are committed to rescheduling the endorsement as soon as possible and will announce that meeting once we have it scheduled.

General meetings are open to non-members, though participation in certain activities like elections and votes is reserved for Houston DSA members only (click here to become a member)!
