The California GOP recently announced that Donald Trump will be the headline speaker at their convention taking place right here in Orange County next month.

We need to send Republicans a message -- from our likely opponent Scott Baugh to Trump himself -- that their MAGA agenda has no place in Orange County.

It’s no secret that our race is one of the most closely-watched in California and the country. This wide-open seat will prove to be the tipping point for either party -- which explains Trump’s interest in coming to Orange County to flip CA-47 red.

➡️ In 2022, Katie Porter only narrowly won this seat. A few thousand votes separated Orange County residents between a MAGA representative and someone who cares for their community.

➡️ 2024 is shaping up to be another tough matchup. Scott Baugh, the same Republican who lost to Rep. Porter, is making another run for it. That’s why we’re starting the hard work now to fight against GOP extremism and keep CA-47 blue.

But Trump coming to town puts a wrinkle in our plans. California Republicans are going to use his visit as a springboard to bring in dark money to stop us.
