John, on my very first day in Congress I introduced and voted to pass a resolution to protect the Affordable Care Act.

Throughout my first congressional campaign, I promised Texans that I would defend their health care, including protections for those with pre-existing conditions. Everyone should have access to quality health care, and I'm so proud to say I kept my promise.

Ted Cruz cannot say the same. When he was first asked to vote on the Affordable Care Act in 2013, instead of taking the needs of Americans seriously, he spewed nonsense for 21 hours so that no one could vote. He even got around to reading Dr. Seuss' Green Eggs and Ham.

Texans deserve a leader who will take their needs seriously. That's why I'm committed to defending the landmark gains of the Affordable Care Act. But I'm counting on grassroots supporters like you to help me defeat Ted Cruz. So please:

Will you give $5 right now to power my campaign for Senate? We need $35,000 to keep our efforts running daily, and right now, we're still $12,045 short. 

John, when it comes to health care, I don't mess around. I've seen first hand what the quality, consistent care resulting from the ACA means to the lives of my family, friends, and neighbors. 

But right now, Ted Cruz and I are neck and neck in the polls. He has special interests ready to pay his way to victory, but I'm counting on folks like you to help me build the powerful grassroots movement it'll take to defeat him.
