When we first started talking about Tommy Tuberville and his hold on promotions it wasn’t a big story. National news wasn’t covering it much, and it wasn’t getting much attention in the Capitol.

But we kept at it, because we knew it was important.

Didn’t matter that Tommy Tuberville represented Alabama in the Senate, and that we’d probably never seriously contest his seat.

We did it because it’s critical to our National Security. That’s one of the reasons we started VoteVets all those years ago: To make sure Democrats started to show that they care about our Veterans and our Military just as much as the GOP does.

But now, months later, months of pushing on Capitol Hill, countless meetings, dozens of petitions, thousands of dollars on digital ads, and thousands more dollars advertising on TV in Alabama, look at where we are.

Alabama has turned against Tommy Tuberville. 58% of Alabama voters — a majority of Trump supporters and Republicans — think Tuberville needs to stand down.
