*BJS-funded third-party report: "An Environmental Scan of Cybercrime Measurement: Recommendations for the National Crime Victimization Survey"* [ [link removed] ]

This report provides recommendations designed to enhance the National Crime Victimization Survey?s (NCVS) ability to capture cybercrime victimization. It describes research, evidence, and recommendations regarding (1) existing cybercrime classifications/taxonomies, definitions, and measures; (2) the current measurement of cybercrime in the NCVS and a detailed comparison to the comprehensive cybercrime classification system developed by
K. Phillips and colleagues in 2022; and (3) recommendations for revision to the measurement of cybercrime in the NCVS.
