Save the Children Action Network is the political voice for kids.
Friend —
Have you ever heard of WIC? It provides nutrition support to millions of eligible adults and young kids.
Check out my last email for details on why this program is so critical — and how spending cuts are putting it at risk.
Up to 5 million people could be impacted, Friend. Will you speak up to protect their futures? [[link removed]]

A lifeline for millions of adults and kids is at risk. Please, tell Congress: Nutrition support is too vital to cut. [[link removed]]

Friend, I’ve got more concerning news on those proposed spending cuts.
The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children — or WIC, for short — nourishes kids and eligible adults across the U.S.
But Congress is considering serious cuts to WIC’s funding. The numbers we’re hearing could impact more than 5 million young children and pregnant, postpartum and breastfeeding adults.
This support protects their lives and futures — and we need your voice to fight for it. [[link removed]] [LINK]
Friend, if these cuts go through, WIC funding will be at its lowest level since 2007.
For the first time in decades, as many as 750,000-800,000 eligible adults and kids could be forced to go on a waitlist without access to support. Benefits for buying fruits and vegetables could be greatly reduced, too, putting countless families’ health at risk.
Send an urgent message: We can’t cut nutrition support during a nationwide hunger crisis. [[link removed]]
Thanks for being a voice for kids,
