I've gone entire days without eating to help stretch out a paycheck, and that is with the help of SNAP. I can't survive on McDonald's poverty wages alone.

But Trump's new budget plan cuts funding for the programs that I rely on to make ends meet. I'm not the only one: most of the other cooks and cashiers that work for low pay need these programs just as much as I do.

Before Congress votes on this budget, we need to tell them that Trump's plan is an all-out assault on us -- and we won't stand for it.

This budget is a trillion-dollar nightmare that would make the rich richer and the poor poorer. If this budget passes, it would...

... cut funding to Medicaid that we use to take our kids to the doctor when they get sick.
... slash the SNAP program making it harder to buy groceries like milk and cereal to give our kids a healthy breakfast.
... roll back housing assistance that we need to pay rent and keep the heat on in the winter.

This is just Trump's latest attack on working folks. Cutting the programs we need to survive. Letting corporations off the hook for putting us in dangerous working conditions. Siding against workers and families so that he can keep giving huge tax cuts to billionaires and wealthy corporations.

It's an attack on ALL OF US, John -- so we're joining together with groups like the Coalition on Human Needs to raise the alarm.
