[link removed]  Back in October, following President Trump’s endorsement of our campaign and to mark the 25th Anniversary of the House Republicans’ successful “Contract with America,” I unveiled my own Contract with Minnesota.

In this contract, I pledge to Minnesotans and Americans what I will fight for in order to strengthen our economy, unleash the potential of our natural resources and empower our people. This contract outlines my vision for a greater, more prosperous Minnesota. 

I love Minnesota with my heart and soul, and I want future generations to bask in the same pride that I have for our great state.  My Contract with Minnesota
 1. Re-open the Iron Range for business by opposing the Green New Deal and creating good-paying jobs in the trades. That means supporting Polymet, Twin Metals, Enbridge (Line 3) and forest biomass.

2. Fight the Democrats' radical plan for socialized medicine by supporting a plan that lowers co-pays and deductibles, covers prescription drugs and offers affordable options.

3. Build the wall and fix our broken immigration system by ending subsidies for sanctuary cities while allowing more options for skilled and seasonal labor.

4. Defend the constitutional separation of powers by helping President Trump ‘drain the swamp,’ and protect the integrity of the Courts from attempts to pack them with liberal, activist judges.

5. Restore the sanctity of life by ending once and for all the travesty of late-term and post-birth abortions, and protect taxpayers by making the Hyde Amendment permanent.

6. Keep agriculture profitable with free & fair trade by passing the USMCA immediately, granting equitable tax treatment for family farms and permanently removing costly regulations such as WOTUS.

7. Ensure continued economic growth by protecting the tax cuts Congressman Lewis helped implement during the 115th Congress, cutting federal spending and reforming entitlements - and by not allowing liberal politicians such as Tina Smith to be tax collectors for a welfare state.

8. Keep our communities safe by supporting law enforcement, protecting the 2nd Amendment and addressing the root causes of violence from mental illness to the need for more accurate background checks.

9. Maintain the strongest military possible while demanding fiscal accountability from the Pentagon, supporting our veterans and allies abroad while avoiding costly, endless wars.

10. Keep Minnesota moving by demanding accountability from regional governments - like the Met Council - and funding roads, bridges, rural airports and the most productive infrastructure possible.
