** As we stay in Prayer for our Brothers and Sisters on Maui and the Big Island, let's also take action. Please see the below information from the Red Cross to learn more about how you can help. They need Volunteers from multiple Islands to help--they also need donations.
------------------------------------------------------------

Aloha,

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the Red Cross. The first step in becoming a volunteer is to submit an online application. Please make sure to fill out the demographic information. It helps us to ensure that our volunteer workforce reflects the communities we serve, and it is not shared.

If you run into trouble or need assistance, please contact the helpline at 844-621-4243 or email [email protected]. They're the experts on how to get through the intake process.

It only takes a few minutes to complete this process. Please make sure to complete your profile within 7 days (best if done in one sitting) so that it will remain active. If your profile gets inactivated, we will need to reactivate it for you to proceed.

Once you have completed all the steps, including the background check, an email confirmation to activate your volunteer profile will be sent to you and we will be waiting on approval from the national office. When your profile is transferred to us, our screening team will email you to schedule a short position placement interview that will help us get to know you, your interests and experience a little more and will help us to get you placed into the right role for you. This is also the time when we will walk you through all the departments and what is available to you. This step is required, so please schedule your interview at your earliest convenience.

After completion of the position placement interview, you'll be referred to the appropriate department(s), and they will be in touch for a department orientation and training schedule.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Thank you,
