This month, more than 2,000 former Justice Department officials who served
in Republican and Democratic administrations have signed a statement
calling on Attorney General Bill Barr to resign.

This comes in the aftermath of the DOJ overruling its career prosecutors
in Roger Stone’s case after President Trump threw a fit on Twitter.

And just days after that reversal, Trump applauded Barr for intervening in
his former advisor's sentencing.

Let us be clear: this is unprecedented.

Kamala called for Barr’s resignation last year when he refused to answer
whether Trump had asked him to investigate anyone, and she stands by it
still today.

We deserve to know why the DOJ reduced its recommended sentence after
Trump’s tweet.

This is yet another example of there being two systems of justice in
America: one for Trump and his buddies, and another for everyone else.

This is a complete mockery of the rule of law. We deserve better and we
will fight for it—together.
