America's first labor movement took us from despair to progress, but the myth of trickle-down economics set us backward. Now, we must translate progress into true equity by fighting for everyday hardworking rural Michiganders.

There is no such thing as an unskilled worker.

As a product of the rural working class, I know all labor has value. From factories to classrooms, ERs to farms, workers are the engines of our economy. 

Investing in people yields profit. Cutting social programs neglects our economy's greatest asset: people.

I'm committed to empowering and growing the middle class.

The CEO-to-worker pay ratio is now 399-to-1. Trickle-down economics doesn't work, has never worked, and will never work. With your help getting to Congress, I'll work tirelessly to invest in everyday hardworking people and fight for labor reform. 

Workers are people first, and then, they remain the main driving force that moves the economy forward. 

There's a direct correlation between worker satisfaction and worker productivity. Workers are happier and better at what they do when society meets their needs — union protections, family-sustaining wages, healthcare, education, housing, and childcare.

Trickle-down economics was designed to benefit the ultra-wealthy, not everyday hardworking Americans.
