🚨Clifton Bridge A52🚨

Due to water damage to steel work on Clifton Bridge, Highways England has closed the bridge outbound (East) while inspections take place over the weekend. One lane remains open inbound (West).

This is causing severe delays across the road network across the city as drivers seek alternative routes. It is advised that anyone driving around the city should leave plenty of extra time for their journeys. Please use public transport where possible.

The Nation Cross Country Championships 2020

Wollaton Park will host the English National Cross Country Championships on Saturday 22nd February 2020.

Due to current ground conditions, contingency arrangements have had to be put into place to manage the expected numbers of cars and coaches arriving to attend the event.

For general visitors, car parking on Saturday will be very limited, and surrounding roads are expected to be busy.  Residential parking restrictions on neighbouring streets will also be enforced. We recommend using public transport.
