John,
On Tuesday, 57% of Ohioans voted to strike down a measure to amend their constitution and make it harder to protect abortion rights.
Our Democratic majority of ONE SEAT in the State House is the only thing keeping Pennsylvanians from facing similar attacks on abortion access. That majority runs through frontline districts like mine.
As an emergency physician, I have seen the dangers of lack of access to reproductive healthcare first hand. I have delivered babies and told women they have lost their pregnancies. I have even cared for a patient who came into my emergency department and almost died after a back-alley abortion.
As a father, a husband, an emergency physician, and a legislator, I know we can't risk our majority - the stakes are simply too high for abortion rights and women’s health care.
I’m fighting to protect abortion access in Pennsylvania – that's why I'm asking for your help right now. Will you help me defend Pennsylvanians’ rights to reproductive healthcare with a donation of any amount today?
Together, we can–and will–protect women's access to life-saving healthcare in our country.
Sincerely,
Rep. Arvind Venkat, MD
