# [#]Last year, Congress made historic investments in the U.S.’ microchip industry with the CHIPS and Science Act, delivering a major boost to innovation and manufacturing here in San Diego and across the country.
However, many projects receiving CHIPS funding have faced significant delays caused by permitting regulations. That’s why my colleagues and I have introduced bicameral, bipartisan legislation to speed up these transformative projects, while maintaining bedrock environmental protections. And our bill has already passed the Senate as part of the NDAA!
These goals go hand-in-hand-name: streamlining outdated regulations means a greener, more prosperous future for working Americans.
I’m hoping you’ll add your name in support of our work to boost American manufacturing while building a sustainable future. Sign on here: [[link removed]]ADD YOUR NAME [[link removed]]
Whe it comes to fighting for the future while maintaining the world standard in environmental protection, we can’t afford to lose any time. Our hard-earned progress can’t stop here.
That’s why it’s so important we cut red tape preventing the full, efficient, and environmentally-conscious implementation of last year’s CHIPS and Science Act.
I’ll always fight for common-sense, bipartisan solutions – especially when it means creating jobs, supporting economic growth, and improving national security.
Let’s show a united front in calling for a more sustainable and prosperous future for all Americans. Add your name right away. [[link removed]]ADD YOUR NAME [[link removed]]
