I just got home from delivering this postcard to Stevens Point Mayor Mike Wiza.
The postcard was full of names and messages from Stevens Point residents who support a bold commitment by the city to 100 percent clean energy by 2040 – and the creation of a Sustainability and Clean Energy Committee to lead the city’s transition to clean energy.
We officially launched this campaign last week and the energy is palpable. Stevens Point residents – like Wisconsinites in every corner of the state – are ready for a cleaner, healthier future free from fossil fuels.
With conservation voters like you by our side, I know we can make this vision for a cleaner Stevens Point a reality, because we’ve done it before.
Our team has run successful clean energy campaigns in cities like Green Bay and Menomonie – and we’ve helped create this clean energy toolkit as a resource for anyone in Wisconsin working to bring clean energy to their own communities. It’s what we do – but we can’t do it without conservation voters like you.
