John,
We have exciting updates and even better news to share with you that celebrates the
#BlackLivesMatterDay proclamation!
In just
under one month, our nationwide effort to
honor the countless Black folks who have suffered from police and vigilante violence has made a significant impact, reaching even those on capitol hill. Several cities have successfully passed the proclamation, and we're determined to keep pushing for it to become a National Day.
The following cities have approved the proclamation to officially commemorate July 13th Black Lives Matter Day:
- South Bend, Indiana
- Prince George’s County, Maryland
- Baltimore, Maryland
Guess what? This proclamation marks just the beginning, extending beyond celebrating the past 10 years of progress made by the movement. It reminds us that achievements are markers of progress, not a final victory.
These upcoming months are absolutely crucial, and we can't wait to see the impact of our efforts -- anticipation is running high, John!
John, we're just getting started, and the momentum just continues to build up. Now is the crucial moment to elevate our push for change. Together, let's ensure that our movement is remembered and honored today and every day. Take a quick moment to let your legislators know that you support the Black Lives Matter Day Proclamation >>
In love and solidarity,
