John,
February is Black History Month, an important time to honor the achievements Black people have made in this country, as well as reflect on this country’s dark history of slavery and systemic racism, and the contributions of those to the Black freedom struggle.
On this month’s Assembly, we have invited the one and only Dr. Ibram X Kendi, who is a professor, historian, and National Book Award-winning author of Stamped From The Beginning: A Definitive History of Racist Ideas in America and How to Be an Antiracist.
Dr. Kendi is one of this country’s leading scholars on antiracism, and we couldn’t think of anyone more fitting to have on this month’s Assembly, than him. Will you join us THIS Sunday, February 23 at 8pm ET/5pm PT for the WFP Assembly? All you need to join is a phone or a computer.

On this month’s Assembly, we will also hear from Cristina Tzintzún Ramirez, who is running a critical U.S. Senate race in Texas to take on Republican John Cornyn, and was just recently endorsed by San Antonio Rep. Joaquín Castro and Medicare for All activist Ady Barkan.
You may have not noticed, but there’s a Democratic primary going on. No, not just the presidential primary, there are Democrats competing in primaries for offices up and down the ballot. And these elections are just as important, if not more so, if we’re going to build a multi-generational, multi-racial progressive movement for the many, not the few. With Election Day in Texas less than two weeks away, it’s more important than ever to plug in and get in the fight.
Will you join us this Sunday, February 23rd at 8pm ET/5pm PT for the WFP Assembly featuring Dr. Ibram X Kendi and Democratic Senate candidate Cristina Tzintzún Ramirez? RSVP now to join us on Sunday, all you need is a phone or a computer to participate.
Looking forward to you joining us,
