Let’s hear it for Ohioans who voted to protect democracy! Republicans tried to change the rules and make it harder for citizens to make their voices heard, but Ohioans saw through their scheme and rejected Issue 1 by a HUGE MARGIN.
Of course, VSA volunteers were once again a part of the action. Our community made well over 160,000 voter contacts. Thank you for being a big part of this win and having Ohioans’ back in the face of every dirty Republican trick in the book.
So, take a moment, text your friend who lives in Ohio to thank them for voting (everyone has a friend in Ohio), and get yourself a little treat.

We always say there are No Off Years, and that means there are No Off Months either. We have less than 100 days until the 2023 November elections. And we have some big fights ahead of us: to defend reproductive freedom, to protect against Republican trifectas, and to keep majorities in key legislatures (just to name a few). Organizations on the ground in battleground states have been doing this work for months, but they need funding to get across the finish line.
