On Monday, I had the honor of visiting the Durham VA Medical Clinic to discuss the recent progress we’ve made in ensuring our veterans receive the benefits and care they deserve.
Last year, President Biden signed into law the PACT Act, legislation that provides health care and services to veterans and their families who were exposed to toxic chemicals. Since then, we’ve worked to put this law into action and ensure that veterans have all the information they need to apply for and receive benefits.
I was proud to help pass this legislation because our veterans put their lives on the line to serve and defend our country. They should never have to face barriers to the resources and care they have earned.
I remain committed to giving our veterans, service members, and their families the support they need to thrive. I hope you’ll stand with me. Add your name here:
As the proud daughter of an Air Force veteran, I know that behind each service member is a family also making sacrifices every day.
That’s why I’m proud to announce that two of my amendments have passed the House to ensure our service members get access to the resources they deserve – from access to education resources for STEM degrees to support for postpartum depression among pregnant service members.
Our country must honor the promise we make to those who have served our country - and we can do that by ensuring they receive the care and benefits they’ve earned.
I will continue working in Congress to keep that promise and support our veterans. Will you stand with me?
Thanks for all you do.
