Hey John — it’s the Balint Organizing Corps (BOC)! We’re a group of seven fellows who joined Becca’s campaign for the summer to learn how to organize, and elect progressive, forward-thinking leaders to every level of public office. Most importantly, we learned that politics can be filled with joy and connection. We are calling it the Becca Balint way!
We wanted to share with you some of the experiences from our BOC summer program, but first, grassroots supporters are what made this program possible. This was a paid summer fellowship, which was a huge part of why we were all able to participate.
It’s critical that this campaign continues to have the funds to ensure this inaugural class isn’t the last. Will you chip in today to help Becca’s campaign continue mentoring Vermonters and future campaign staffers who want to shape the future of our state?
Here are some highlights from our summer:
- Meeting with Becca and talking about running for office, serving in Congress, and Vermont politics.
- Making calls to Vermonters to provide flood recovery resources.
- Learning from members of Becca’s campaign staff about how to build a field plan and win!
- Hearing from Congressman Maxwell Frost and Congressman Jared Moskowitz about the gun violence epidemic.
- Listening to Congressman Jamie Raskin, Congresswoman Annie Kuster, and Officer Harry Dunn discuss the events of January 6, 2021.
- Learning how to navigate VAN, use data on campaigns, and phone bank.
- Making over 16,000 phone calls to Vermonters to increase voter turnout in 2024!
We’ve learned so much this summer, and we’re so grateful for this opportunity. Grassroots contributions provided critical funding to sustain this program. Chip in today to help Becca’s campaign continue training and mentoring the next generation of political staffers >>
