This November, voters in Ohio have the chance to vote for a new amendment to enshrine reproductive rights in their state constitution. Republicans know that Americans support abortion access. That's why they launched a desperate scheme to change the rules and sabotage this amendment.

During yesterday's special election, Republicans included a new ballot measure to raise the threshold for constitutional amendments from a simple majority to 60% — which would make it substantially harder to pass this critical amendment.

But thankfully, Ohio voters showed up at the polls with a clear message for Republicans: You cannot take away our right to choose. They voted overwhelmingly against the GOP's ballot measure.

This is what happens when Democrats band together. We've seen it over and over again in states all across the country — from Kansas to Michigan. But we can't back down now.

The fight for reproductive rights is far from over, in Ohio and across the nation. We must rally together to protect reproductive rights in every state and defend our pro-choice Senate majority on Election Day. As a reliable, pro-choice Democrat, we're counting on you to stand with us against the GOP, their dangerous ideology and their anti-choice megadonors.
