John,

The airline industry is failing us.

American taxpayers provided airlines with over $54 billion [[link removed]] in federal pandemic airline aid. Airlines promised to use the aid to prevent layoffs and maintain staffing levels for when demand returned. But despite the post-COVID return to travel, major airlines like American, Delta, United, and Southwest have dragged their feet on rehiring while reporting record revenues.

Between fare hikes and mismanagement, passengers are spending more and more money only to wait hours in limbo at airports until they can reach their destination. Meanwhile, airlines are overexerting their employees without a concrete plan to restore their staffing to pre-pandemic levels.

This cannot continue. Sign if you agree: It’s time to regulate the airline industry. [[link removed]]

Congress has the power to enforce stronger consumer protection and labor requirements in the airline industry. By implementing strict regulations, Congress must discourage airlines from overbooking flights and ensure improved service.

Tell Congress: Protect passengers and the planet by regulating the airline industry. [[link removed]]

In solidarity,
Ro
