Trump Indictment Is a Perversion of US Political System
- The indictment of former President Donald Trump by special counsel Jack Smith—with the full approval of Attorney General Merrick Garland—is an attack on the American political system and fundamental rights protected by the First Amendment to freely discuss, debate, and contest serious election and political issues.
- It represents the ultimate weaponization of the Justice Department, a transformation started by President Barack Obama’s attorney general, Eric Holder, and completed by Garland, to take out a viable political opponent of Garland’s boss and political patron, President Joe Biden. Nothing more, nothing less.
- At the very same time, the Justice Department is giving Hunter Biden a Monopoly-style “Get Out Of Jail Free” card for evading millions of dollars in taxes and other serious federal felony violations, and it’s refusing to investigate the serious corruption and bribery allegations against Biden.

After Prince Harry's Application Called Into Question, Rep. Steube Introduces SPARE Act to Require Fair Enforcement of Immigration Law
- In addition to refusing to enforce our country’s immigration laws at the southern border, Representative Greg Steube (R-Fla.)pointed out that the Biden administration also appears to be obstructing the fair and equal enforcement of our visa laws.
- “Left-wing celebrities like Prince Harry, who have a self-recorded history of illegal drug use, should be subjected to the same standards and enforcement of our country’s immigration laws as any other alien,” said Rep. Steube.
- The Heritage Foundation has asked the US government via the Freedom of Information Act to see Prince Harry’s visa application, citing his admission of past recreational drug use in his memoir.
- In response, Rep. Steube introduced the Substance and Possession Abuse Restrictions for Entrance (SPARE) Act yesterday to require fair enforcement of our nation’s visa laws.
- Under U.S. law, visa applicants “who are found to be drug abusers or addicts are inadmissible” as well as non-citizens who admit to using controlled substances.

Biden Lets in Immigrants and Taxpayers Get Stuck with the Bill
- Biden’s open borders are a blank check written on the backs of the already-groaning taxpayer.
- For centuries, immigrants came to America to make their fortunes through hard work. It went against the grain of American values that anyone newly arrived would immediately depend on the state for their needs.
- Now, with the growth of a tremendously expensive welfare state, it’s financially foolish to open our nation’s doors to people lacking the means to support themselves.
- That’s why our immigration law sensibly provides that any person who looks like they would be a "public charge" – i.e. need handouts from the get-go – would be ineligible for a visa.
- Today, however, the public charge rule is practically worthless, watered down through regulation.
- The immigration system of Biden parole-based programs, which bring in illegal aliens on the pretext that they are asylum applicants, does not require anything of those it brings in, and does not reject anyone on the basis that they will require significant taxpayer support, perhaps for life.
