The American Diabetes Association Turns 83 this Year

Over the last 83 years, the ADA has supported diabetes research, advocacy, and more to advance our mission. Will you make the start of our 83rd year special by donating to advance our ultimate goal of finding a cure for diabetes?

Yes!

We’ve come so far, but we still
have so far to go.
The American Diabetes Association® (ADA) has been at the forefront of the fight against diabetes for over eight decades. As we embark on our 83rd year on the front lines, let’s reflect on some of the ADA’s achievements over the last year:

Research: In June, we welcomed over 11,000 diabetes professionals to the 83rd Scientific Sessions—our annual conference on diabetes research and new treatments. This year’s meeting featured new results from research studies and reports, which will help professionals that treat people with diabetes provide the greatest, most up-to-date care.

Advocacy: The ADA celebrated two huge wins for insulin affordability! The first, those on Medicare will pay no more than $35 per month for insulin. Second, insulin supplier Eli Lilly has also capped their customers’ out-of-pocket costs to $35 per month! These victories are a huge first step to lessening the diabetes burden for everyone and were made possible by the advocacy of the ADA and supporters like you.
To commemorate our 83rd year of supporting, researching, and
advocating for the diabetes community, we’re calling on our supporters
to unite and contribute $83,000 to the ADA before August 31!
Your donation helps make events and victories like these and more possible. Although we have accomplished a lot, we look ahead to the work that still needs to be done.

Friend, we need support from donors like you to continue to make headway in our vision of a life free of diabetes and all its burdens in our 83rd year and beyond. Will you give today?
