I am proud of Ruben.

I am proud of the man he has become, and most of all I am proud of his fierce and unwavering commitment to making life better for everyone regardless of their background.

And a lot of you probably already heard, but our new daughter Isla was born last month. It’s been a busy first month, and Ruben’s been with us every step of the way. He’s a great dad.

But this campaign means a lot to him, too. It’s a lot of work, and he has to raise the money he needs to win. So as much as he’s got one eye on me and Isla, I know he’s got another on his fundraising goals.

While Ruben takes some time off to spend with our growing family, it means a lot less time making fundraising phone calls.

So I’m writing to you to help give him a little peace of mind.
