Dear John,
We are honored to announce that the great-granddaughter of Oregon's first Congresswoman will join us as a special guest speaker at this year's dinner! Dr. Naneki McCallum, PhD, will speak to Democrats from all across Oregon as we gather to affirm our shared vision for the future.
We hope you can make it. But if you can't, please consider making a contribution to support the work we do!
Nan Wood Honeyman served as the President of the Oregon League of Women Voters and as the President of the Oregon Division of the Women’s National Organization for Prohibition Reform. Honeyman was active in the Democratic Party of Oregon, serving as a delegate to the State Central Committee, the Democratic National Committee, and as the Vice Chair of the Democratic Party of Oregon. In 1933, she presided over the state constitutional convention which ratified the 21st amendment, supporting the end of prohibition.
She served as a member of the Oregon House of Representatives from 1935-1937. The legacy of Nan Wood Honeyman lives on in the work we do together as Democrats.
