This is a do-or-die election for the insurrectionists. They lost in 2020, and they lost in 2022. 2024 is either the year they return to power and erase all of their past wrongs, or we hold them accountable once and for all.

That’s why we’re not getting distracted by the indictment drama. We’re keeping our eye on the fight for control of Congress, and the latest polls have us worried that momentum might be moving in the wrong direction.

In our last round-up of generic ballot polling, Democrats had an edge. But since then, YouGov has continuously polled Americans every week, and last week's poll was a step in the wrong direction.

It could just be statistical noise, but the timing is notable. Just as Trump announced he was the likely target of a new series of federal indictments, Republicans enjoyed a 4-point swing in the generic ballot, the largest swing since YouGov started polling in June.

We can’t allow Trump, The 147, and their insurrectionist allies to enter the 2024 election with a head start. We have to show them that we are going to end their treasonous movement NOW.
