Dear John,
I’m reaching out today with a critical reminder for Sacramento County veterans: If you or someone you know is a veteran who has been impacted by burn pits or exposure to toxic substances, there may be benefits available to you that are expiring soon.
Our veterans have made countless sacrifices through their service to our nation, and we have an obligation to fulfill our promise to take care of them by providing high quality health care and benefits they have earned.
That’s why last year I was proud to support the passage of the PACT Act, which has expanded health care and benefits to millions of service members who experienced toxic exposures during the Vietnam War, Gulf War, and post-9/11 era.
To receive the full benefits, you must apply by TOMORROW, August 9th.
To check eligibility and file a claim, please visit VA.gov/PACTAct. For questions and more information on how to apply for these benefits, go to my website, Bera.House.Gov/GetHelp or call my office at (916) 635-0505.
