We told you before about Mark Robinson, North Carolina’s Lieutenant Governor, who is running for Governor to succeed term-limited Dem Gov. Roy Cooper.

There’s really no other way to say it: Robinson is a lunatic, and a far right radical who will impose a divisive agenda in North Carolina. He simply must be stopped.

When we wrote about Robinson before, we asked supporters like you to spread the word far and wide that the Muckrakers are ready, willing, and able to take on the urgent task of finding whatever other unknown demons may be in Robinson’s past. There is a lot that we already know about this guy, including that he subscribes to anti-Semitic lies and once “questioned the purpose” of homosexuality.

But each new story about Robinson reaffirms that we need to focus our time, energy, and resources on him. Recently, Robinson spoke at a Baptist church (of course) and spread some absolute filth and hatred that the pastor and crowd apparently ate up.

In his speech, Robinson called climate change “junk science” and claimed that children are given pornography and gender indoctrination at schools, and said that “God’s not gonna tolerate it long.” He also stated that our society’s attempts to better understand gender identity was bringing the country to “hell’s gates.”

Robinson clearly carries with him some very troubling thoughts and frightening religious beliefs that have no place in government. If elected, these toxic beliefs would guide his decision-making, to the detriment of everyone in North Carolina.
