Hey there John,
A long overdue change is happening. For way, way too long a ton of our most important Military Bases were named after Confederates.
Now, they’ll be named after patriots and patriotic values.
And surprise, surprise: A bunch of losers are upset about that.
Let’s show them what we think.
We wanted to touch on a couple of these.
Fort Johnson used to be named after Leonidas Polk, a traitor who fought against the United States in the Civil War. Now, it is named after William Henry Johnson, a Harlem Hellfighter who was awarded the Medal of Honor and the Croix de Guerre in World War 1.
Fort Moore used to be named after Henry Benning, a traitor who fought against the United States in the Civil War. Now, it is named for Hal Moore, a decorated Army commander who led a battalion of Air Cavalry in the battle at Ia Drang in Vietnam and later wrote the book, “We Were Soldiers Once... and Young.”
These are the types of people our bases should be named after.
Not Confederates. Not traitors. Patriots.
If you agree, get your sticker today.
